On the side of the highway, nestled amidst tan rolling hills, we came upon the Midway Kettle Valley Museum. A pitcher of lemonade, homemade cookies and a donation tin sat on the porch welcoming road weary visitors. This small museum contains artifacts of BC's rich rail history, and of the people who settled the area. While meandering amongst the farm equipment in the back shed display, I found this fantastic rusty red tricycle. This bike evoked tales of magical speeds and of grand adventures with its space age design. The paint was chipped, and worn, and the metal was burnished by use; this little bike glittered like the treasure it was and still is.
